Attached application sumitted. A great
deal of Land Bailiffs work has during the last two years been
done by Mr. Tratman but the time has now come when a Bailiff
should devote his whole time to the Southern District. I there-
-fore recommend that a Bailiff be appointed at the same salary
as the 2nd. Bailiff for the Northern District viz.:- £180 -
2225 and travelling allowance of $30 a month. I also further
recommend that two demarcators be appointed at $180 per annum
and that the allowance to the Officer in charge of No. 1 Police
Launch be increased to $10 per month on account of the addition-
